Hardware RAID Controller

RAID Controller:

RAID 10 is a combination of RAID 1 + Raid 0. A RAID 10 array is always created with four disks.

Raid 1:

Raid 1 is mirroring. This array will mirror two sets of two drives into each other. The result is that there is a very high fault-tolerance, and when one of these two drives has a serious failure, the other drive will still contain all the data. Since the array can still function properly with only drive, the drive failure will not cause any downtime.

Raid 0:

Raid 0 is striping. This means that the ‘remaining’ drives are basically being added up to each other, to create one large disk. The result is not only that all the disks together are now being seen by the system as one large drive, but it also makes the system’s read and write speed much faster. RAID 10 is the fastest RAID solution available (much faster than RAID 5).
